Before we Help
In the chill of the night, the cold, hard floor is softened only by layers of blankets, each one hoping to provide a touch of comfort. Window sills serve as improvised nightstands, holding the essentials, while garbage and grocery bags stand in as quirky dressers, filled with the odds and ends of daily life. Stuffed animals scatter across the floor, their plush forms bringing a sense of warmth to the otherwise stark surroundings, creating a unique blend of refuge amidst the chaos.

Join us in our mission, where entirely volunteer-led efforts bring hope and joy to empty homes. As new beds and mattresses are unwrapped, families look forward to their new spaces. Our committed, multi-faith volunteers populate each area with necessary furniture and comforts, transforming empty houses into inviting homes demonstrating we love our neighbor as ourselves. We foster a sense of belonging and safety for those who need it most. As we leave, we cherish the smiles on the faces as we leave them with a Bible bag that includes a Wilson County Renewal Resource Community Directory to ensure they have what they need for a fresh start across a wide range of community support providers.
