Joining the FAM Community & Getting Help
Faith and Actions Ministry is dedicated to helping individuals in need by providing home goods donations and volunteers to aid in restoring & completing the furnishing of their homes.
Our FAM Essentials program is designed to provide support to those in extreme circumstances. We recommend reaching out to our partners to ensure all of your needs are met. If you just need help furnishing your home, apply with us directly.
We are committed to helping those who are in need, including foster and biological parents needing furnished to get their kids back, entirely empty homes and those recovering from a disaster.

Apply For Assistance

Our Apply for Community Assistance service is designed to help connect individuals and families in need with community partners and other resources. Our partners will work with you to identify the best resources for your particular needs and provide the support you need to make a successful application. Our Community Partners are best suited to connect you with a whole bunch of resources to help you, from food banks to home goods donations to utility assistance.
If you only need furniture, skip this step and apply with us directly.

Referrals to FAM Essentials

For FAM Essentials, you will be referred to us by a community partner or you can complete your application for furniture assistance directly with us.
If you skip the first step of getting a referral, we will need to ask additional questions in order to establish your need. Here you will join as a member of FAM & create a member profile. This will give you all the reminders, ability to upload photos and more. After you complete our Onboarding (Application) e-form, we will review it and may schedule a call to discuss your need in the FAM Essentials Onboarding call.
Who do we Help?
FAM Essentials is dedicated to addressing two crucial areas in Wilson County, Tennessee:
First, we focus on overcoming homelessness by assisting individuals and families affected by domestic violence, trafficking, tragedy, addiction, mental illness, disabilities, veteran status, and those rehabilitated after imprisonment. Our mission is to furnish entire homes or rooms for those who are starting anew and need support, particularly those who are currently sleeping on the floor or have empty homes.
Second, we concentrate on supporting foster families and facilitating home reunification. We aim to help those who are fostering youth or those in need of furnished spaces to reunite families, after experiencing challenges like those outlined in our first focus area.

Qualification & Scheduling

FAM Essentials Onboarding (Get to Know You) provides a personalized service to families in need of home goods donations and volunteers. Our onboarding service begins with a call with one of our volunteers, during which we ask any additional details to ensure we understand the family's specific needs. To expedite the process, you must complete the FAM Essentials Onboarding (Application) Form in advance. You will find all of the E-Forms right in your FAM Mobile App or available online within the Web or Mobile Browser.

Note: In most cases as long as you've completed your application properly, we won't need to schedule a Get to Know You Session and we'll move right on to scheduling your delivery, so don't book the session unless we email you to.
Delivery Day

Our Completing Your Home Delivery service is the perfect way to finish furnishing your home. We provide a team of volunteers to bring furniture and other home goods directly to your home, taking away the hassle of having to transport them yourself. Our volunteers will arrive at your home between 9AM-11AM on a Saturday and will set up and stage the furniture for you. This is the day we've all been waiting for.
Note: You must have your home cleaned and cleared for the placement of furniture before our delivery volunteers arrive. If we arrive and it is not prepped, we will return the furniture to the warehouse and the order is permanently canceled.

The same Online Membership where you scheduled your delivery, completed forms and received reminders is now your access to the FAM Community! Through this membership you will gain access to information and resources, as well as the opportunity to give back to others in need. As a FAM Member, you will be able to participate in our volunteer days and help other families in need. We can't wait to see you at our future volunteer days to make a difference in the lives of those just like you!
